Hello Alan, Mister Micawber, Beeesneees, Mordant, Esl_Expert and other native English speakers,

The Targus Compact Laptop Charger is 40% smaller than typical AC chargers and is about the size of a BlackBerry. As the smallest adapter on the market, this charger is ideal for travel and is designed to support most Dell, Toshiba, Sony, Lenovo, IBM and Panasonic laptops. Easily power or charge a laptop and one additional item such as a camera, cell phone or MP3 player at the same time. For added convenience the charger plugs directly into the wall and the integrated AC plug rotates 180 degrees, allowing the user to plug the charger into a power strip without blocking other outlets.
-------------------------------------

- plug something into a power strip
- plug something in a power strip

Do both sound right to you?

Personally, I would use 'into' here.
Informally, I would use 'in' where there is no following indication of what it's being plugged into:
"Can you plug it in please?"
"When you're ready you can plug it in and switch it on."
