Hi,
There is a sentence
They were expecting a valuable parcel of diamonds from South Africa.

Can I say it
They were expecting for a valuable parcel of diamonds from South Africa.

What's the difference between them?

Thank you.

No 'for' is incorrect here,

You could say 'they were waiting for...' but not 'expecting for'...
