Hello Alan, Mister Micawber, Beeesneees, Mordant, Esl_Expert and other native English speakers,

---------------------------

If you cannot print at all, changing a resolution to lower could improve the situation.
---------------------------

Do this sentence sound right to you? Is "at all" necessary?

"If you cannot print, lowering the resolution may help."
"If printing does not start, try lowering the resolution."

How do these sentences sound?

Your last two sentences are certainly better.

A corrected version of your first one:

If you cannot print at all, changing to a lower resolution could improve the situation.

"At all" is not necessary.

"Printing" is perfectly acceptable without an article.
