I came across the following piece on a certain web-page:
Seen during a conference: "For anyone who has children and doesn’t know it, there is a day care on the first floor."

I believe it's correct grammatically but semantically it makes no sense to me. When one doesn't know if one has children, then what's the day care for? To leave your neighbor's kid there?!

I would rewrite it as:
Seen during a conference: "For anyone who has children and wants to get rid of them for awhile, there is a day care on the first floor."

...doesn't know that there's a day care on the first floor.
Clear now? =)

It's not exactly the best constructed sentence in the world. There are plenty of other permutations:
Children's day care is available on the first floor. - would probably be enough.
Attendees are welcome to avail themselves of the children's day car service situated on the first floor.
Attendees with children can book them into the day care service on the first floor.

Thanks, Tort, Beeesneees. Beees, your permutations are a lot better and clearer than the original.
