Hi teachers, hi everybody,
I have problems in listening to English, especially when I try listening to American movies, although I can understand the American news channels. Of course I can't understand all what they say, but at least I know the general topic.
The understanding degree differentiates according to how hard or easy the topic and the accent of the announcer or the correspondent as well, but when I try listening to movies, I can't understand their slangs unless I read the subtitle English with the movie.
So, I want to ask here: what is the best way to improve my listening?
I face this problem when I go to American restaurants as well, when the Pilipino gentleman ask me about my meal, and I can answer because I prepared myself to his question before, but when he or she starts addition conversation, I can't understand what he says in the beginning, but maybe I often understand after that. I named this situation "the first shock is always repeated."
Any advices will be appreciated.

Hi Eihab,

Please read and listen to this: How to learn English? (30/30 Challenge)

PS: Please also remember that the noun 'advice' is uncountable.
