Granted, economic development is the important part of our society(,) but if we take all aspects into consideration, the environmental problems is supposed to overrIde all other things which our government should BE focusING on.
For one thing, A STABLE environment is essential for our social development. No one can deny the fact that environment affects every aspect in our WORLD. If we can not deal with environmentAL problems immediately and reasonably, they will cause a series of crises. A classic example of this is the Gulf of Mexico. The leaking-oil SERIOUSLY contaminated the Gulf seriously, which DESTROYED both THE ecology equilibrium and economic development. A large amount of fish and birds died from oil pollution, and people no longer wanted to visit the Gulf of Mexico, which weakened BOTH the ocean fishery BUSINESS and tourism. Consequently, MANY people LOST their jobs. Obviously, the local, or even the national, economic system was impacted heavily. The BP and the government had spent billions on reducing the leak, not to mention repairing THE economic and ecological system. Thus the environmental problems are the most important things the government should focus on. Any government who only cares about economic development but do not put sufficient efforts INTO solving environmental problems may suffer uncountable lossES.
For another thing, A good environment will stimulate economic development. Nowadays, sustainable development is more OF A concern than ever before, which requires THAT WE balance our economic development with environmentAL DEVELOPMENT. Many scientists and economists point out that we must protect our natural environment from pollutiON if we want to economic development TO PROCEED further and successfully. The A good environment will benefit our health; therefore, we WILL have more energy and enthusiasm to promote economic development. Indisputably, it will also reduce needless expenses which NEEDS TO be spent on solving all sorts of environmental problems. There is no better way to develop economics than to protect THE naturAL environment firstly.
For those reasons, we can safely conclude that the government should pay more attention to environmental problems than to economic development. A superb environment (cannot) only promote economic development(,) but also improve OUR quality of life. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Not an esay topic to take on, but you did, and you did OK. Try to find time to do more reading. You are getting there.
