2. Look out! There’s a lorry coming.
3. It is said that for a certain period of his life Byron lived on vinegar and potatoes to keep thin.
4. I promised him that you would do the work. Why did you let down me by doing so little?
5. Someone handed this parcel in yesterday.
6. He said that he was not an American but his accent gave away him.
7. He is getting very well on with his English.
8. The government should do away with the regulations restricting drinking hours.
9. When I was looking for my passport I came across these old photographs.
10. Trade was so bad that many big shops closed down some of their branches.

4. I presume 'let down me' should be 'let me down'?
6. I presume that 'gave away him' should be 'gave him away'?
7. 'Getting very well on' should be 'getting on very well'.

You mean 'getting on with very well' or just 'getting on very well'?
