Hello,all,

this is my first thread, recently i have a question, does a native speaker say "long time no see" when they haven't seen each other for a long time.
Thank you for all the answers in advance.

Hi,

This is a shortened form used in conversation that means: I haven't seen you for a long time.

Many people said that maybe "long time no see" is translated from the chinese phrase.Although I'm a chinese,it's very strange, when I heard it at the first time.....
