correct sentence:
Well, it's for my architecture course. I've got to write something about the interiordesign of luxury hotels. You know, the way they look inside: furniture, colours, etc.

Correct answer: (c) design

Your answer was: incorrect
your sentence:
Well, it's for my architecture course. I've got to write something about the interiortheme of luxury hotels. You know, the way they look inside: furniture, colours, etc.

Why can't we use the word 'theme' here? Why should we use the word 'design'? What's the differences?

'Interior design' is a specific field; 'interior theme' is an odd collocation.
