Hello Kitosdad,

I was wondering if you would correct my essay.

Thanks in advance,
Mohammad

Schools should ask students to evaluate their teachers? Do you agree or not?

I am convinced that schools should plan programs to ask for student’s opinions on their teacher’s performance. I have got three personal reasons for my opinion.

The first and foremost, students benefit a lot by expressing their views to school’s executives about their teachers. In this way, managers who are supposed to be levelheaded persons, would be able to decide on teacher’s performances based on student’s verdicts. Accordingly, they would take apt course of actions to treat teachers in the best possible way. For instance, they could either replace unqualified teachers with better teachers or suggest that some teachers had better to cover their weak points. Moreover, students learn the lesson that they are entitled to express their opinions and objections. To give an example, they learn that they have the right to object to government’s different weaknesses when they get elder. Furthermore, if school’s principals considered their views with respect, they would respect other people’s rights when they grow up. For example, when they become a boss, they know that they should treat their subordinate’s opinions with respect.

In the second place, teachers would benefit. By taking student’s feedback into account, teachers could figure their weaknesses out. They might have some slight problems with their teaching doctrines. Through applying some refinements, they would be capable to get the hang of teaching and could have much more prosperous career. For example, maybe a teacher does not have any problems except for his extremely loud voice which bothers students. If students did not have any means to convey his problem, he might not be considered as a good teacher. However, through conveying student’s expectations, he could meet the expectations and become a good teacher from student’s point of views.

Lastly, schools could promote their educational system and absorb better students and set an example at least among local schools.

In conclusion, schools should ask students to appraise their teacher’s performance because all of the edges of education triangle, namely student, teacher and school, can benefit from such a work.

Good morning Mohammad. I feel this essay had very little to do with the students evaluating their teachers.
