You say that animals have the right not to be slaughtered by humans? What about cattle (cows, pigs), if we don't take them to the slaughter house, how do we get meat that is an integral part of our diet? Also, if you think that animals are all cute and cuddly and don't do any harm to humans, I suggest you follow this link and see the horrors of human encounters with a bear or feral/domestic dogs, monkeys, lions and such: http://www.google.com/images?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&channel=s&hl=en&q=mauled%20by%20a%20bear&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&biw=1308&bih=609
Warning to the faint of heart - the images are EXTREMELY graphical, don't open if you have a weak stomach
Humans get mauled by wild animals here and there, animals don't like us the way we think they do, they don't have the same concept of sympathy and love we do. Don't labor under this misconception. A pit bull that you own and that appears amicable, tamed and sagacious to you may turn on your three year old in the back yard and maul him at the drop of a hat. Such cases where dogs chose a weaker target to attack are recorded - how's that for cowardice? PETA and the like are shouting from the rooftop that killing animals is cruel, but they conveniently keep silent when animals kill humans. Why is that? To me it sounds hypocritical. The truth is that survival is the name of the game in our world, we kill animals to survive, for food and clothing. Animals kill us to survive too. I think everything is fair. _________________ If it's not easy, don't do it!
