Hi Waiyin,
It is written like that because that is the rhythm the composer /lyricist wanted to match. The person who gave you that advice is correct. Songs, like poetry, are not a good source of correct grammar. If you wish to verify your grammar you would be better off using articles and stories. _________________ Cheers m' dears! |

| Thanks for your help, Beeesnees. Sometimes, The way they write the titles for press are not grammatical too. I read a book, they said about the title (not the content) for the news have been written in some way that we cannot verify them by grammar. |

"Deep river, high mountain" would be more grammatical but would also alter the meaning.
The most grammatical way to preserve the meaning would be "as deep as a river and as high as a mountain." These are metaphors. |

New titles are most commonly called 'headlines' and they are almost never grammatically correct. _________________ Cheers m' dears! |
