In contemporary society youngsterS are required to attend a variety of lessons and to acquire diversified knowledge in order to achieve competitive advantages from future prospective. Some people argue that learning should BE baseD on students' preferences, while others contend that it is not an option for them because all subjects are equally important. Personally, I am of the opinion that youngster should equip themselves with all essential skills and knowledge in THEIR formative years.
Knowledge should not be obtained by someone's as choices. Obviously, education systems are based on the belief that children can be effectively taught to acquire different skills. On the ONE hand, children, at their early ages, are immature and lack self-control, which means they have inadequate capabilities to distinguish right from wrong. Therefore, subjects which are selected by their own preferences may exert profound influences on further education, since skills are closely related at primary level. For instance, it is unlikely to solve complex science problems which involve calculations without relevant knowledge of mathematics. On the other hand, youngsterS have limited understanding about their potentials as well as future plans. Hence, not only does learning help students to build personalities, it also benefit their future careers.
Admittedly, ALTHOUGH learning all relevant subjects is important, some drawbacks cannot be overlooked. Some students claim that studying areas IN WHICH THEY HAVE NO interest is stressful and is A wasting of THEIR time. There is no denying that interest is the indispensable factor contributING to effective learning progress. Consequently, it is teachers' responsibilities to inspire children to enhance positive attitudes toward unfavorable lessons. Furthermore, certain degrees of freedom are given on choosing students' preferred aspects in secondary school and university.
However, even through it is unlikely that students do feeling happy in their studies, I think it is not unrealistic to promote positive satisfactions in class. I believe if proper efforts were made in teaching techniques, everyone would enjoy the learning no matter what subjects he or she was taking. ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Pretty good Jesss.
