Hi,

Indicating that you now have a different opinion is usually referred to as changing your opinion/changing your mind. Modify is used in the sense of adapt often in a technical sense.

Change vs modify #3 (permalink) Sat Jan 14, 2006 15:39 pm   Change vs modify

Hi,
Change means to do something different from what it was; to substitute one thing for another: to change a key lock/ an address/ an opinion.
Modify means to make different (to change partly), usually the form or quality of something. It implies a change that makes something moderate, less severe or strong: to modify a design; modify the terms of a contract, etc.
