Hey, last argument is suck, is this one better? Thanks!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The following appeared in a letter to the editor of the Clearview newspaper.
"In the next mayoral election, residents of Clearview shouldvote for Ann Green, who is a member of the Good Earth Coalition, rather thanfor Frank Braun, a member of the Clearview town council, because the currentmembers are not protecting our environment. For example, during the past yearthe number of factories in Clearview has doubled, air pollution levels haveincreased, and the local hospital has treated 25 percent more patients withrespiratory illnesses. If we elect Ann Green, the environmental problems inClearview will certainly be solved."
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The opinion that Ann Green from the Good Earth Coalition will solve the environmental problems in Clearview seems reasonable. After all, the intent of the members of Good Earth Coalition is to protect environment. However, the conclusion that choose Ann Green as mayor, instead of Frank Braun, can certainly solve the environmental problems may cover many other significant qualities that a mayor should have and may misadvise citizens’ final vote.

First of all, the author shouldn’t generally deny Frank Braun, who is a member of the Clearview town council, just because the assumption that the current members are not protecting environment, and then ignore the other achievements they have made, which maybe more important for a city. Although the environment protecting is a very important task, what a mayor should consider is much more than this, such as promoting the economic growth, keeping the social stability, arranging the city planning, solving the people’s livelihood problems, so forth and so on. At the same time, Frank Braun is a member of the Clearview town council, but the current members’ policy cannot simply equate to Frank Braun’s. There also have righteous generals even in Hitler’s army. Therefore, voters should weight their candidates in a more comprehensive way.

The argument is also weakened by affirming that the current members of Clearview town council are not protecting environment. Based on the major premise that the global environment is becoming worse and worse, it is, at least, likely that the air pollution levels of Clearview are impacted by the neighboring cities, which have worse air pollution levels than Clearview’s. In fact, there is no evidence to show that the air pollution levels are increased by the new factories. It is possible that these new factories are eco-friendly ones. Similarly, more patients with respiratory illnesses, which also can be caused by pollen allergy or cold, cannot be ascribed to a worse environment. Therefore, these factors are not strong enough to prove that the current members are not protecting environment. The argument would be more powerful if more detailed statistics are listed, such as the kind of new factories, the air pollution levels of neighboring cities or the causes of the respiratory illnesses.

Finally, the author seems to be very optimistic about the result which Ann Green would achieve if she is elected. With the fast development of economy, the environment pollution has become a worldwide serious problem. Almost all countries are willing to develop their economy while protecting environment, but the pollutions are still increasing. Ann Green is just one of the Good Earth Coalition. In fact, it is extremely difficult, even impossible, for her to solve the environment problems completely. She can, at best, take some effective measures to minimize the pollution levels. At the same time, she should also let voters know that she can be a good mayor but not just an environmentalist.

The argument that vote for Ann Green is based on the author’s strong desire for a better environment. But voters also should consider many other important qualities of a candidate. After all, a mayor will influence the city’s develop for several years.

The opinion that Ann Green from the Good Earth Coalition will solve the environmental problems in Clearview seems reasonable. After all, the intentION of the members of THE Good Earth Coalition is to protect THE environment. However, the conclusion that WE SHOULD choose Ann Green as mayor, instead of Frank Braun, BECAUSE SHE CLAIMS TO BE ABLE TO can certainly solve the environmental problems may cover many other significant qualities that a mayor should have(,) and may UNDULY INFLUENCE misadvise citizens’ final voteS.

First of all, the author shouldn’t generally deny Frank Braun, who is a member of the Clearview town council, just because OF the assumption that the current members are not protecting THE environment, and then ignore the other achievements THAT they have made, which may be more important for a city. Although the PROTECTION OF THE environment protecting is a very important task, what a mayor should consider is much more than this, such as promoting the economic growth, keeping the MAINTAINING social stability, arranging the city planning, solving the people’s livelihood problems, so on AND so forth. At the same time, Frank Braun is a member of the Clearview town council, but the current members’ policy cannot simply equate to Frank Braun’s. There also have BEEN righteous generals, even in Hitler’s army. Therefore, voters should WEIGH their candidates in a more comprehensive way.

The argument is also weakened by affirming that the current members of Clearview town council are not protecting THE environment. Based on the major premise that the global environment is becoming worse and worse, it is, at least, likely that the air pollution levels of Clearview are impacted by the neighboring cities, which have worse air pollution levels than Clearview’s. In fact, there is no evidence to show that the air pollution levels HAVE BEEN increased by the new factories. It is possible that these new factories are eco-friendly ones. Similarly, more patients with respiratory illnesses, which also can be caused by pollen allergy or cold, AND cannot THEREFORE be ascribed to a worse environment. Therefore, t These factors IN THEMSELVES are not strong enough to prove that the current members are not protecting THE environment. The argument would be more powerful if more detailed statistics WERE listed, such as the NATURE of THE new factories, the air pollution levels of neighboring cities or the causes of the respiratory illnesses.

Finally, the author seems to be very optimistic about the result which Ann Green would achieve if she is elected. With the fast development of economy, environmentAL pollution has become a worldwide serious problem. Almost all countries are willing to develop their economy while protecting THE environment, but the pollutions are still increasing.

The argument that WE OUGHT TO vote for Ann Green is based on the author’s strong desire for a better environment(,) but voters should also consider many other important qualities of a candidate. After all, a mayor will influence the city’s developMENT for several years.
