Hi,
why the answer is would instead of will?

Hi,

in this sentence: I was asking myself what in all honesty she would do next.

This is an example of the sequence or order of tenses. If you say: I am asking myself, then what follows is: what she will (is going to) do next. But if you begin with: I was asking myself, what follows is: what she would (was going to) do next.
