The word "often" can be pronouced with 't' or without it, both pronounciations are correct.It's a matter of American vs British pronounciation.

Hi,

Aside from the difference quoted above, I would say that 'often' without 't' is more common in British English. It follows the same pattern with the verb 'soften' = to make soft.
