Hi

What is pedestrian walk actually? Is it the sidewalk or pavement by the roadside for pedestrians?

It is a place for pedestrians to walk. It's usually not by the roadside, because if it were, it would be called a sidewalk. Generally it leads in a different direction than the road, but it goes to the same place.
