Hi dear coach

Maybe I am not supposed to write in this way, but I realized that in this forum I definitely can find some knowledgeable native people who really have dedicated themselves to teach and learn English to volunteers all around the world. I would really appreciate the authorities and founders of this website.
I have some questions for you; first of all, how can I improve and wider my vocabulary. There are several free computer programs, such as Anki, jmomorize, and so on. In your vantage point which one is better? Or you recommend the conventional paper-based memorizing method?
Secondly, for more than one year I have just been lurking this forum. Maybe I have a subconscious fear of writing which leads me not to write. Actually, when I was at primary school, one of my teachers was always insulting me by writing some essays of not being worth anything let alone reading and commenting. Fortunately, I am a single-minded person and work hard to do the best for the work at hand. So, I have decided to put this damned graphophobia away and write as mush as I can. Please help me with some good advice to start.

Alfee, the secret to becoming a good writer is first to become a good reader. There are hundreds of stories and essays here in our Forum for you to spend your time reading.
Believe me, you will improve at an astonishing rate if you were to do as I suggest. Concentrate on the structure of the sentences more than anything else. A well written sentence makes absolute sense to a good reader. The whole point of writing is to make sure that the reader immediately understands what you are "saying." Do as I ask and you will thank me for saving you hours of time, and lots of money that you would otherwise have spent on books.

Kitos.

thanks and I will try it. Although it's sort of like a task needs drudgery, my voracity more than make up for that.
