As far as the developments that have changed the world considerably throughout the history are concerned, the Internet is one of the most notable ones. While, the purpose of all innovations is facilitating our lives, adverse effects may occur due to overusing and misusing. In the sense of the Interneti these adverse effects can be cited as having trouble establishing social ties, neglecting school work, and health problems.

One of the most damaging consequences of the Intenet addiction is that it weakens the social ties among family. The sociological problem of our age is weak social bonds. Unfortunately, some technological innovations, especially the Internet and television as well, have an influence on alienation from family. Spending over much time with the Internet may restrain one from other fields of life. Furthermore, Internet addiction may lead to loose in the ability of distinguishing reality from fantasy. Because of this reason, they will begin to turn a blind eye to what is happening around them, and thereafter, be faced with a lot of problems concerning his social life.

When it comes to neglecting school work, it is an undeniable fact that a student who regarded as an Internet addict cannot find adequate time to studying. To demonstrate, the first thing to do when come to home after school for an Internet addict student is that turning on the computer and connecting the Internet. Additionally, it should be taken into consideration that, they cannot concentrate on homeworks even though they allocate some time to studying. Therefore, it can be observed that the more times students squander on the Internet, the low grades they get in school.

Finally, probably the most detrimental result of Internet addiction is health problems such as eye sleeping disorders, eye disorders, and other complaint stemming from lack of physical activities. A person who spends more than four hours a day on the Internet generally is likely to suffer from some eye disorders because of the fact that rays given off by computer have a bad effect on the eyes.

To conclude, even though at first glance, the effects of Internet addiction are generally ignored, they might contribute to some serious problems, in the long run. In my opinion, the addicted people had better use the Internet less due to the fact that life is not impossible in the absence of the Internet.
