Hi, I have a confusion on using the number of....Can you show me the right grammatical use of this phrase. Whether this sentence is right or wrong? "The chart shows the numbers of boys and girls in UK take part in some different activities"

Hi, I think the right sentence is: the chart shows a large number of (or large numbers of) boys and girls ....
