Do you agree or disagree with the following statement:
People today spend too much time on enjoyment. We only do what we like to do rather than what we should do.

Modern technology brings us various entertainment. But that do not means we have more leisure time to do what we like. Quite the opposite, we are being compelled to dedicated far more time and greater effort to struggling with what we have to do, due to stiff competition, giant psychological strains.

Stiff competition should be the primary reason. Extremely intense competition contribute to so hectic lifestyle that people hardly possess enough time to enjoy their lives. When we were young, we had to take endless examinations to ensure that we can further our education. After graduation, we still encountered vocational exam. To gain a advantaged point, children are reluctant to cancel their games to prepare tomorrow’s examination, employees have to continue to deal with their work even in the weekend, instead of enjoying their family parties. Obviously, stiff competition take a wealth of happiness away from people.

The high-speed rhythm of modern society is sparing no effort to pose an immense psychological strains to people. Living in such constantly and rapidly evolutive circumstance, people are becoming more and more anxious. They always excessively focus on their career, but typically neglect relaxation. It is not uncommon that some people spend vacation on professional training, which is called charging today, even if they not only have considerable salaries but also perform well in their companies. It seems that work or study is more comfortable and relieved to they. Ironically, some reports reveal that due to chronic work pressure and the lack of communication with families, a few people’s expression ability is fading, and all they can do in the vacation is sleep. How terrible it is.

No one can deny that we have more various approaches to entertainment and delight than ever before. However, we can not equate playing games or tours with enjoyment. In fact, some people participate in one basketball team, just to expend their social circle. Some family prefer to rustic tourism/ travel, which afford a chance to escape their hectic lifestyle and noisy city. It acts as a somewhat negative role rather than uplifting one.

Our society is developing, which poses colossal pressure to us as it brings numerous conveniences to us. Now is the time when people rethink and reshape our lifestyle.
