I've started thinking about various test formats-- in particular, what our software can handle and/or what Slava can create. For instance, could we implement a test like this?--

Hello Charles,

Thank you very much for this suggestion which is excellent. We are going to start a major overhaul of our site in January 2011 and we will incorporate CAE reading comprehension tests in the new version.

In the meantime, I'd like to continue working on the ESL Test Guidelines you and Alan have started. There are a lot of very valuable ideas and we now need to reorganize the information including those test question samples you suggested in your PDF document.

I will also answer your other post regarding the direction english-test.net is going to take in the future. In the meantime, I'd like to thank you for all your useful input. I really appreciate that.

Talk to you soon,
Torsten

I don't know what direction to go with this, Torsten, or how far.

Hi Charles,

It will be sufficient if we simply add your examples and explanations to Alan's Guidelines.

OK, I'll try to polish some corners and get it back to you all for review ASAP.

It would also be good to include the publication date with other test information submitted (I hadn't thought of this when I sent you the updated guidelines). Would the Author Tool software be able to record that initial submission date automatically? And even revision dates?

Hi Charles, many thanks for bringing this up. I've added the feature to our 'to-do-list'.
