My question: Why don't we use present perfect?

You cannot use present perfect with a specific reference to a past time ('two weeks ago').

Thanks again for your comment This clear that I can't use here present perfect. It is an accomplished fact. It is similar if I had said: yesterday, last year etc.
Many thanks:
Kati
