No, I suppose "to" is vital here, if you remove it the meaning will change. If something is to your advantage it is beneficial to you. (getting enough sleep is always to your advantage) If something is your advantage it is a trait of yours that gives you an edge over other people (in a competition for instance). (your strength is your advantage in any competition) _________________ If it's not easy, don't do it!

Yes, you can be gifted from birth (like a prodigy) and have talents, or you can aquire some skills - and they (talents, skills) are your advantages. You can use your skills to your advantage by landing a highly paid job and bringing in a lot of money. _________________ If it's not easy, don't do it!
