Dear All,

I encountered this question on page 69 on Bruce Roger's Complete Guide to the TOEIC Test 3rd Edition.

Question 19 says (listening section) "You havent been abroad for a long time, have you?

The options are:

A. No, I haven't been overseas for years.
B. I lived abroad for several years.
C. It won't be possible for me to leave the country.

Correct Answer: A

Can anyone explain why?

A is the only natural response to the question. The others are non sequiturs.
