What, have you just heard that?!
These rumours have been going around for quite a while now! I think it's safe to say that they have -- for several years.
Heard it all, except for this part:

Well Bill - I have a few issues with coke myself - My brother Charlie never drank alcohol but drank coke till it came out his ears - Charlie died a few years ago from primary liver cancer and a lot of us are convinced it was the coke.
