1) That's okay. 2) He was getting ready unhurriedly / slowly /without haste / leisurely. 3) It depends on what exactly you mean by 'hot' - fashionable, exciting, sexy, popular, etc. From the context I would guess at 'sexy', so you could clarify it like this: I was always hot. It's just that I was always dressed as a tomboy so you never realised there was a sexier side to me. 4) I can't think of a word specifically for that action, Hardwork. You would have been 'dodging' or 'dodging and weaving' or 'side-stepping', and in humour people might even refer to it as 'dancing'. _________________ Cheers m' dears! |

1. I'm assuming you mean "phone" as in a smartphone such as the Blackberry or iPhone. Your sentence is fine, but to clarify, it should be "Can you check the meaning of this word on your smartphone's dictionary?" 2. "He took his time getting ready even though his (*) was late for (*)." (I need more context to complete and revise the sentence) 3. "I've always been dressed as a tomboy so you've never seen the hotter side of me." 4. There's no word for that, but this has happened to me far too many times. :P |
