Dear Learner,
Peril is a serious danger (esp of death); usually denotes great and imminent danger; exposure to the risk of harm, loss or destruction.
Threat is an intention to inflict pain, injury, evil, or punishment on someone who disobeys or acts contrary to the wishes of the speaker.
