As you have now changed the topic title and your request it seems that you realise that you didn't want the sentence translated at all. You wanted it explained.

Please explain me why don't use the article 'the' in this sentence: "Food choices in developed nations are very costly in terms of the environment".
"The Food choices in the developed nations are very costly in terms of the environment".
