Anyone using a health club/fitness center?

Hi, is anyone of you using a health club or fitness center on a regular basis? I'm asking because yesterday I did a trial training session at one of the largest gym chains in Germany and I really like their approach.

What have your experiences been like so far?

Hi Torsten - Im an aqua member at my local - which is about as cynical as you can get in this stuff - basically it means I swim a bit and lie in the jacuzzi a lot - I think I know what you mean about the Dale Carnegie type attitude though - but then again is this not a sort of generic really helpful Pizza hut kind of mentoring? - A kind of McDominals hehe - healthier but just as exploitive on their brainwashed employees. I remember last year seeing a neighbors kid working at the local KFC - dutifully mopping out both the male and female toilets. When I said hello to him he proudly announced he was a trainee manager - as did his proud mother when we met a few days later - however the penny eventually dropped when he was still cleaning toilets 6 months later - trainees being paid below the minimum wage of course. - But more to the point I also let a room last year to a guy who proudly introduced himself as a Fitness Instructor - I kept hearing the term repeatedly as he seem to enjoy its sound - but as week followed week he became increasingly invisible - could I get money off this guy? - one elaborate story after another before the inevitable showdown - which revealed he was earning about a hundred pounds a week - So this company was able to get this guy to work for almost nothing as long as he could run around telling everyone he was a fitness instructor - leotards and franchises - would you like to go large on that Torsten?
