| Hi my name is Laura and when I was younger then eleven years old I was known as land hopper. I didn't stay in a place long enough to really learn good english or the type of english teachers I had after I stop land hopping what. I was born in America but I haven't always lived in America. Even in my own family a mix of english was spoken and when I got to high school a teacher (if she could she might have beaten the mix english out of me.) tried her hardness to get me to quit using mix english. "I can't have you using that god awful english. You are American so use Amercia english no other." she told me once (I never did tell my mum about that one and no one else was in the room.). I just stared at her before I said to her "There is nothing wrong with how I use my english Madam. Now kindly get off my case because this is my family english thank you." (This how it really came out " Th're is noth' wrong with ho' I use 'y eng'h Ma'am. No' 'inkly geoff 'y 'se 'cause 'his 'y 'mily eng'h 'ank 'ou." and I also had a slight cold that day so what I had said would come out broken.) I walked out of the room. Boy was she mad and even madder when I hadn't shown back up until four days later. |
