Because children shall make decisions all by themselves some day, so if they can learn how to make their own choices when they were young, they will make decisions with ease in the future. In addition, children can learn the definition of responsibility through it. It means that children may understand what the decisions they made mean to them and the responsibilities they shoulder, for society and themselves. All these will benefit them a lot.

However, their parents are social experienced, so they can get useful advices from their parents. For example, their parents may evaluate the feasibilities of their decisions or share their relevant experiences with them. With the help of their parents, children will make fewer mistakes.
