I want to have the "Lucifer" for my first name, but I dont know if that can be use in public or regular occasion.if answer is no, I want to know why.

Well, in English, Lucifer is commonly referred to "The Devil", although it originally came from a Latin word that means "Light-bearer". Unless you do not mind being in the limelight for being a "devil" in the eyes of your friends, peers, or even business partners, by all means, use it. Personally, I do not know anyone having that name.
