please help me to understand the meaning of "Their business is really hurting" in the following:

- I heard that House of Coffee is going to close 200 stores. Their business is really hurting.
- Yeah, well, that may be. But they're still 500 stores ahead of us.

They are having difficulty keeping their business going. It is 'feeling the pinch' - being affected by outside factors (for example, too much competition; a generally shake economy; a change of ownership; customer care issues).
