Hi,

This phrasal verb has the idea of examining with the intention of discovering something or finding out something.
It can be used as Follows:

Police are looking into the possibility of setting up more speed(radar) traps on this road in order to reduce the number of accidents. This suggests they are considering the possibility of doing it.

Again

If you want to save some money, I suggest you look into a new scheme run by **** Bank that offers a good rate of interest. This means you should think about this idea and get some more information.
