Does this sentence sound good to your ear? I think that "that is why" is redundant.

I would go with:
- My mother always gives me good advice, so I need to ask her opinion.
- My mother always gives me good advice, which is why I need to ask her opinion.
- My mother always gives me good advice. That is why I need to ask her opinion.

What do you think of these three sentences?
