Mesa Foods, a manufacturer of snack foods that currently markets its products within a relatively small region of the country, has a strong growth potential. Mesa enjoyed a 20 percent increase in profits last year, and its best-selling product, Diabolique Salsa, has had increased sales over each of the past three years. Since Omni Inc. is interested in reaching 14-to-25 year olds, the age group that consumes the most snack food, we should buy Mesa Foods, and concentrate in particular on marketing Diabolique Salsa throughout the country."

The argument present above provides a vague information but does not have any statistical data to prove it. According to Omni Inc, the Diabolique Salsa marketing is mainly concentrated on the age group 14-25 years old but aren't sure that apart fro mthese age groups they are people who would like to consume the snacks. As these Mesa food is apread across a small region, it cannot prove that it is the potential for growth across the country. Also
there is no information about the previous year's rate of production and consumption, hence it cannot be deduced that the company is making profit.

Secondly, there is no much information about the number of increased sales. This may not be true as the previous three sales data has not been included in the argument. Without taking stock of the sales, the number of consumes and their age group, no conclusion can be drawn. Also there is not strong point that proves that after buying the Mesa foods, Omni can reach out the people. Moreover, inadequate information makes it difficult to debate on whether Omni should buy the Mesa food or not.

The argument can be better debated if the proper statistical data regarding the total sales in last three years, the number of consumers, growth rates are given.
