Hello,
As we are studying cover letter and resume (CV) writing, I gave my students a home assignment in which they have to compose a cover letter. They challenged me to write one. Here it is, but I am not sure about some points:

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to express my strong interest in the position of English teacher at … recently advertised in …/on … . With the enclosed resume, I would like to make you aware of my background as an articulate communicator and enthusiastic teacher whose exceptional skills in classroom instruction have been proven.
As you will see from my resume, I hold a Diploma of Higher Education with a qualification of teacher of the English and German languages and have been a tenured faculty member with Donetsk National Technical University since 2007.
As a senior university instructor, I planned and implemented {I feel HAVE PLANNEDand HAVE IMPLEMENTED are better} programmes in Language Awareness, Translation from Ukrainian/Russian into English and computer learning in the classroom. I successfully integrated {again, I think the present perfect is better} class management systems on www.Engrade.com {I just don't know how to explain that I used a ready-made LMS on this site} into everyday classroom activities. Also, I created a series of educational cartoons based on English idioms and phrasal verbs at Xtranormal.com. I am a heavy user of interactive writeboards which help me to encourage collaboration among students.
If you can use an articulate communicator and skilled educator, I hope you will get in touch with me soon to suggest a time when we might meet to discuss your needs and goals and how my background might serve them. I can provide references at appropriate time.

Sincerely ,

Sergei Polovin
senior university instructor

Thank you very much indeed in advance

I agree that present perfect would be better where you have indicated.

I think the fact that you have used a ready-made LMS is self-explanatory when you include the site the way you have. I don't feel any adjustments are necessary, but if you would prefer to avoid use of the website name at this point, then how about:
I have successfully integrated a personalised on-line class management system into everyday classroom activities. (You might want to add a sentence here about how this has supported teaching/learning).

It's interesting that you use the term 'interactive writeboard'. In Britain they are 'interactive whiteboards' (perhaps because you can do far more than just write on them). I'm not sure about the sentence 'I am a heavy user of...' though. I'd suggest:
I am committed to the use of interactive writeboards in the classroom, as I am able to use them to good effect to deliver teaching content. I encourage the students to use them in my lessons in order to develop collaboration skills.

'I can provide references at appropriate time' should be 'at the appropriate time'.

I would also follow the traditional convention (in the UK) of putting the 'thank you in advance' sentence before the signature.

Hello Beeesneees,

I do know what interactive whiteboards mean, but I think what I have been using could be called just writeboards. I had been looking high and low for something to use in the classroom without too much hassle - no downloading and installing the latest versions of that or another program. The thing is two times a week I teach English in the computer class, and it is a relief to be able just to switch on the computers, log in to the www.dabbleboard.com/www.writeboard.com or www.scribblar.com and start doing exercises. Writing, or rather, typing is a cinch using these programs - one student is assigned to do the typing, the rest of the group watches what is being typed on their screens. If they spot a mistake, they can easily correct it. I have not tried www.crocodoc.com yet, but soon I will. The program lets you track each student's input showing each one of them in a different colour.

Thank you a lot for your advice. You are a tower of strength.
