The reading passage avers that humans are responsible for the massive devastation of birds and it provides three reasons of support. On the other hand, the lecturer reckons that people must not worry for extinction of birds, since according to her number of birds is increasing and she refutes the author’s points.
First, the written article mentions that people expand urban areas, and naturally they occupy birds’ natural habitats. However, the professor explains that many people want their cities as green as possible, therefore there are so many vegetation and trees in urban areas. As a result, birds adapt to life in cities more easily than predicted, such as pidgins in New York City.
Second, the author claims that increasing demand for food makes people to clear lands for establishing farms, which forces birds to leave their nests. Despite that the speaker believes that there are still massive forests in Brazil, Russia and other countries, thus birds can survive in these areas. Furthermore, she introduced that agriculture is more developed now and lands’ productivity is increased, therefore people don’t need enormous lands for farming anymore.
Third, the reading passage describes that farmers use insecticides to kill insects and as a result huge numbers of birds suffer from this, especially from insecticide DDT. On the other hand, the lecturer posits that crops are genetically developed so that they can resist diseases and insects without drugs, therefore no more birds will undergo this incident. Moreover, she claimed that although DDT is poisonous, people utilize it to kill mosquitoes to avoid from diseases, since people think that few numbers of birds could be sacrificed for large amounts of people. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Hello Kitos, last few days for exam, i hope it is good enough,,thanks _________________ now i also have "words under line" ;) |

Moreover, she claimed that although DDT is poisonous, people utilize it to kill mosquitoes to avoid diseases, since people think that a few birds can be permitted to be sacrificed rather than a large number of people. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: I thought it was pretty good Altun. A few changes were necessary, but overall it was good.
