Nowadays, it is quite important to have a high level of education. In fact, it is not merely sufficient to attend high school such as some years ago. Thus, I think people attend college or university because it is necessary to find a satisfied job and to moreover, to feel suitable for the world of work.

I firmly believe that the most important reason why people attend college or university today it is for necessity. For instance, you can think about people who want achieve a better position in their area of work ( if you don’t have all the requirements you cannot desire a high position in a company, such as a manager, a cfo and so on). Secondly, as attending college or university it is very expensive, you have to be very interested in improving your skills and increasing your knowledge. I think that almost every branch of study needs to be continuously up-to-date.
Personally, four years ago, I decided to attend university because it is almost impossible nowadays to find a job not having a degree. In addition, since I was a teenager, I like languages and when you are studying languages you need to know all the tools that a translator needs, having an overview of different subjects like linguistcs, information technology and business and practice. This was a positive experience, due to the fact that you need to compare your ideas with other people, to share opinions and to know how to avoid possible mistakes.

To sum up, in my opinion, people attend college or university because they can feel the need to do it. In fact, it is a must to attend university if you are an ambitious person who wants to reach a high position. Finally, people feel the necessity of attend university when are quiet interested in a subject as well.
