Dear Diogo,
Tour means travelling from one place to another, visiting many places and in the end coming back to where you started.
Move is the most general word meaning to change position or location.

Dear teacher!

How to analyze structure of a sentence?
How to determinate kind of words and its function in the sentence?

Example: "Move is the most general word meaning to change position or location"

what kind of 'meaning' in this sentence is?
what its function is?

Hi dear friends,
Tour (n) means: a brief trip to or through a place for the purpose of seeing and trip (n) means: a going from one place to another, besides, trip and journey are synonymous words. The very difference between trip and tour is their purpose actually and most of the time tour comprises a group of people but for trip is the other way round!

Admin please see again, there's a mistake in here. The sentence A in the question is "trip" not "journey".
i'll write out "excursion" and " move" first. I think the best question is "trip" cause" tour" is usually describe the trip stressed location, organization, mainly travel.

I don't understand your concern, Saudavabimbim. 'Trip' is not one of the options. 'Journey' is one of the options. In the absence of 'trip', 'journey' is a reasonable alternative; none of the other answers is reasonable.

Ah. Answer (a) was changed from 'journey' to 'trip' some time ago. The post at the top of this page was posted more than 5 years ago.

You have provided the meaning yourself.
Your commute to work is the journey you make from, your home to your work and back again.

Hi Jordi,

Clearly you understand how the verb 'commute' is used. It is supposed to have originated from the idea of taking a railway journey from the suburbs to a big city to go to work and come home again in America in the early days of railway travel. It often has the meaning of reduce in size and when you buy a special ticket that will cover your daily travel over a period of time, this is cheaper than if you buy a ticket separately each day. From this idea 'commute' now refers to any type of transport and describes the daily journey to work and back home.
