The environmental issue is too complex to be handled by the individual.

The prosperous industries not only lead to economy thriving, but also bring us some serious environment problems. Can these problems be disposed by the individual? From my perspective, they are too complicated for single person to manage. My reasons will illustrate my standpoint as follows.

First of all, in general, the area of the environment issue is too wide towards the personal ability. An example of this would be the water and air pollution. When the pollution is mentioned, the area is often not a few cubic meters, but thousands of cubic kilometers. Therefore, it is hard to ask a person to deal with such a huge area. Furthermore, some environment issue is not limited in only one country. For example, a number of rivers flow through a couple of country. To clean up the polluted river, the countries need to associate together to cooperate. Otherwise, there won’t be too much difference, and the river would be still dirty.

In addition, the factors of the problems are complicated to be handled. The globe warming is a good example. How to decrease the higher and higher concentrate of carbon dioxide in the air? It is an intricate question. It is related to CO2 discharging and consuming. CO2 derived from factories, running cars and so on. To control the discharge, the factories and cars need to new energy to replace the fossil fuel. To enhance CO2 consuming, the well known way is to increase the covering area of forest. And either procedure cannot be managed by the individual.

To sum up, the individual can hardly handle the environment issue, since the related area is huge, and the environment issues are truly complex.
