To give some money either to support the arts or to protect the environment?

A few days ago it was announced that a company is going to invest some money either in supporting the arts or protecting the environment. If I were a director of this company, I would give the money to protect the environment, due to the fact that people should try to make our world a better place to live in, and it is highly important for human beings to fight with all environmental problems.

Nowadays, people have faced with a great number of environmental problems, such as global warming, air and water pollution, melting of the ice in South Pole and dying out of lots of animal and plant species. Hence, people are in need of investment which would be aimed at elimination of environmental problems. For example, there are many international organizations, such as Greenpeace and World Wide Fond, which exist thanks to invested money. Doing many researches in one field or another, they improve our environment and try to protect endangered animal and plant species.

Another significant reason why I would give money to protect the environment, is that all these pollution problems and global warming are bringing more and more negative effects day by day. Furthermore, if we do not prevent these vital issues now, than it may be too late for doing anything in the future. For instance, when I was a little girl, during my summer vacations with my grandparents, I liked swimming in the river, fishing and drinking water from springs. A few years ago, when I was visiting my grandmother, I was shocked when I saw a dirty puddle, which had been that pure river where 7 years ago we had had lots of fun with my friends.

In a nutshell, taking into account the aforesaid, we may safely draw the conclusion that the environment is in need of investment and organizations, such as Greenpeace. I would give all the money to protect the environment, owing to the fact that fighting with environmental problems, people make our Earth a better place for living, and we should solve all these problems now, because the later the harder to struggle with them.

A company is going to give some money either to support the arts or to protect the environment. Which do you think the company should choose?

Considering between giving money to support the arts or to protect the environment, I will choose the second project. There are two mains matter we should spend money on: fighting against environmental pollution and improving bio-diversity.

First of all, the problem of pollution is a pressing one that all people need to join hands to deal with. Nowadays, the air is getting dirty, the rivers are full of trash, we are living in a polluted surroundings, which cause serious damages to environment. That money can not solve all problems, but should be used in an economical way to reduce pollution. For example, we can establish the system of exhaust-reduction and water-cleanse in factories. Polluted environment has many direct effects on health problems, so this matter must be the first to be chosen to spend money on.

Besides this matter, it is also essential to improve bio-diversity. Hundreds of years in history has seen the extinctions of uncountable species, both plants and animals. Now this number is even increasing due to human activities. People depend on other beings as sources of food and other purposes. The decline in ecosystem will cause big problems to all human being. If money is spent on this, it should be used to preserve endangered species and support researches to maintain these ones.

In conclusion, we live in our environment, whether it survives or not and how it will survive has direct effects on human race. So we have to try everything within our power to protect it.
