It has been said, "Not all learning takes place in the classroom." Compare and contrast knowledge gained from personal experience with knowledge gained from classroom instruction. In your opinion, which source is more important? Why?
With each moment passing, learning becomes more and more important to us. Learning is the thing the keeps us alive on this planet. As human beings we’re always eager to learn new things about life and how to get through it smoothly. These new things that we learn are usually attained either from classrooms instructions or from personal experiences.
On one hand, every one of us has been through a lot of experiences in life in which each experience we’ve been through has taught us a new lesson about life. Some of these lessons cannot be taught in classrooms. Classrooms don’t teach how to get along with others or make friends with new people, but experience does. We can’t learn emotional feelings such as love and care in classrooms; they are solely learned from our experience in life.
On the other hand, it’s impossible to learn everything from personal experiences. We need to learn knowledge that is essential to our future career. We learn things from classrooms to contribute to the betterment of the society. Moreover, we can’t make one step further towards advancement without subjects taught in classrooms like Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. A student learns these subjects and becomes an engineer or a doctor who could help society. This is also very important as we can’t experience everything all by ourselves. Therefore, knowledge from classrooms is imperative as well as knowledge from experience.
To put it all in a nut shell, needless to say, both knowledge sources are indispensable to us. As far as I am concerned, knowledge gained from experience is more important, without knowledge from experience we wouldn’t be able to get through life and confront people every day. ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: A well written essay Moe. Well done.
