Successful sports professionals can earn a great deal more money than people in other important professionals. Some people think this is fully justified while others think it is unfair. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Sport games are popular among people all over the world as an entertainment. Sport games provide people with exciting moments in the stressful modern society. However, despite enjoyment of sport games, there is a controversial issue about sport players’ high salaries. Some people agree that sport professionals deserve a large amount of money on the contract. Others think that it is ridiculous to give them high salaries compared to the other vital professionals in the different fields such as health care or community safety.

To begin with, it is well-recognized that there is a limit time for sport players to participate in the sport games. Different to other careers, usually, their career as a sport player in the field lasts for ten to fifteen years due to aging or injuries during the games. Thus, it is acceptable that sport professionals receive a large amount of money when they can play in the field before earlier retirement compared to other careers’ expected retirement. Furthermore, sport players who participate in the world competitions such as Olympic or World Cup have a significant role to contribute to the nation’s reputation in the world, which is priceless. Moreover, they tend to pay more tax to improve the quality of life in the society/community due to a large amount of income. It is beneficial for the community to promote a good environment. Finally, sport players give a number of people excitement and enjoyment by showing excellent games. It is reasonable that players get paid much more money regarding how many people have memorable time by watching their games.

However, there are some concerns in relation to players’ high salaries. First of all, there are more important people who work for the significant matters associated with our real life other than playing games such as health professionals. However, their salaries are far lower than the ones for sport players even though they work hard to save people’s lives. In addition, police men who are willing to take a risk to promote community safety have lower payment than sport players.

In conclusion, I believe that sport players deserve high salaries as long as they are conscious about their high salaries and contribute to positive nation’s reputation and society with donations. Although it is obvious that the job of saving a life is important, improving community environment, providing people with excitement, and the economic effects from positive global reputation that sport professionals bring are also significant.
