Human cloning is the process of generating enough alike individualS by copying genetic material. After successful cloning of THE sheep Dolly in 1997, there is AN ongoing debate about the pros and cons of human cloning. In my opinion, it is rather a bane than a boon. Many reasons convince me OF this. The most important concern is about its certainty. The procedure is still in its infancy. We cannot anticipate whether the resulting clone will be successful or not. Sometimes the process may fail altogether. For example, THE cloning of Dolly RESULTED IN many futile attempts. Moreover, cloned individuals may suffer from many genetic disorders SUCH AS ineffective immune systemS. They may have abnormal body parts thus causing distress to parents. This is because the process does not occur in natural conditions as in A natural embryo.Instead most of it is in scientist's hands.
In addition, it may disturb the balance on earth. With the production of human beings being in our own hands, they will turn out to be a ''man being" . This will cause stress on THE ecosystem. The struggle for food and existence will increase resulting in THE depletion of resources. The level of crimes and illegal practice may go up.For instance, if therapeutic cloning is successful, people may sell organs for money.
Last but not the least, the process is considered unethical in many religions. By doing this, we are actually trying to emulate God and interfere the natural process of THE creation of life.
In summary, if we consider all the above perils of human cloning, it is clear that there is still a long way to go for the scientists. They should not practice it until they are sure of its positive outcomes. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Gill, I'm sorry for the delay in getting to your work. I completely missed it. It was fine, although your punctuation needs attention.
