Some young adults want independence from their parents as soon as possible. Other young adults prefer to live with their families for a longer time. Which of these situationS do you think is better?
In these days, teenagers are becoming more and more independent than ever before. They always want to escape from the shadow of their parents’ control, and usually as soon as they turn eighteen; they leave their parents’ houses to live alone, or to go to college. On the one hand, there are many advantages of being independent from your parents. First of all, it teaches you to become a self-reliant person. For example; when you go to college’ you have to do your own laundry, cook, clean and wake up in the morning all by yourself. Hence, you will become more productive in many aspects of life. Furthermore; being independent from your parents opens the door for you to see how this universe is really going. If you thought that people WERE always going to be there for you, then my friend you are dreaming of something intangible. You will experience times when no one is going to support you or have your back, even your closest friend.
On the other hand, there are also a lot of disadvantages of being independent from your parents. Sometimes when you leave your parents for college or university, you might meet new friends who would have a bad influence on you. Moreover, you might join a fraternity where students USUALLY spend their time partying and drinking beer. Not to mention that you might somehow get mugged or put your life in danger.
To put it all in a nutshell, each of these situations has its own advantages and disadvantages. As far as I am concerned, being independent from your parents is the right decision. You would have the chance to learn a lot about life and how to interact with people. Above all, it makes an independent individual out of you, ONE who is aware of his/her responsibilities and duties.

I don't know, I feel that my essay is irrelevant, and I made made a big mistake by not saying anything about the advantages of living with family. anyway I wrote this in 40 minutes with no internet use to find idea for the topic, 'cause I need to get myself prepared for the exam.
