Learning about the past has no value for those of us living in the present. Do you agree or disagree? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
I certainly disagree THAT THE past should be neglected. “There is no future without past” greatly expresses the importance to be informed about our origin. We can only live in the present therefore we should learn from our previous mistakes.
Firstly, there (cannot) be a house without a strong foundation. THE building would collapse. There is a big chance OF HARMING people living in it. The base of this construction is our past. The future are the next floors of our complex. If we do not study our roots we can determine the future will not be very bright. People can suffer, our planet COULD be harmed DUE TO THIS this.
Secondly, there are many historical events. They can be lessons for our future steps. We can prevent a lot of devastating situations. For example, 60 years ago Hitler was dedicated TO clearing the Earth from untrue German. He believed only one race meritED achieving a dignified life. This person killed a lot of innocent children, women and men. If we glance back at this we can stop racism and make this world better.
Thirdly, ancient Athens was the motherland of many educated people. Citizens there were the creators of many mathematics rules. There is no need to spend a lot of time to discover them. For example, we just need to open our books and check these remarkable innovations. We can increase our knowledge and be more educated. As a result we will have the possibility to build a better world.
All in all, there is no doubt that past should be studied. We can learn from it and find different solutions. It is our duty to learn our originS and make this world better. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Good work Neacel.
