What are the best methods to improve the writing skills of a nine year old child and how can I get her more inerested in reading?

Good morning Joan. Certainly reading will improve her writing skills, but getting a child interested in reading is a more challenging subject.
Firstly you should discover what she is really interested in, and then find articles on her favourite subject on the Internet. Print one or two of these out and leave them in her bedroom where she will find them.
Alternatively, reading her an interesting bedtime story might pique her interest in reading stories of her own choice.
Not an easy task, but patience will usually pay-off.
